50 settlers guarded by Israeli soldiers stormed on Sunday al-Aqsa Mosque through Mughrabi Gate.
Three Palestinian students were detained, media sources reported. Anas Ghanayim, a journalist in Al-Aqsa foundation for Waqf and Heritage, said " 50 settlers invaded the al-Aqsa in the morning and performed Talmudic ritual prayers at al-Rahma Gate".
Ghanayim also said the Israeli police arrested three students after they confronted the invading settlers and got them out of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa.
He pointed out a state of high tension prevailed in al-Aqsa Mosque due to the repeated settlers' incursions, adding that the situation is likely to be escalated. The settlers and Jewish groups under heavy police protection carry out almost daily incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and do a despotic practices against the Mslim worshipers and students.
